Dar Al Jewar - An Oasis in the Desert

I want to share with you an interesting location in Medina, specifically the Dar Al Jewar complex - a gated community with villas, a supermarket, two mosques, a separate gym and swimming pool. We come here with our family just to walk around and breathe the air, as there is more greenery here than in city parks, and it’s a very pleasant, well-maintained area.

Not everyone may understand what I’m talking about, but I would like to remind you that Saudi Arabia is almost entirely desert: even a weed won’t grow on its own here, every plant is a dollar spent on its maintenance.

After living in Medina for 3 years, I began to greatly appreciate many things that were abundant in Dagestan: fresh air, parks, vegetation, delicious food.

I remember when after 8 months in Medina I returned to Dagestan, after exiting the plane I felt an intoxicatingly fresh air, like a sip of cold water in the middle of a hot day.

Nevertheless, there are things here that greatly outweigh all these inconveniences, and things you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

For a person who is financially well-off and would like to live comfortably in Medina, I would recommend this area.

That’s the way it is. If you’re not planning to move, at least come for Umrah - you’ll have unforgettable memories, and you’ll understand why people are drawn here again and again.
